Wet Electronic Leak Detection, often known as "vector mapping," is an electronic leak detection method used to locate leaks in waterproofing membranes in new and existing structures.
Vector mapping is a low-voltage technique that uses water to complete an electrical circuit as the water travels through the breach. This is in contrast to holiday testing, which is a dry, high voltage test and is our other most widely used approach to Electronic Leak Detection (ELD).
This method can be used in new construction, however depending on the area, it will require water to be applied and then possibly dewatered.
This approach can be used on exposed waterproofing membranes such as roofs in existing buildings, as well as over tiles on balconies, podiums, and rooftops. As a result, this technology is more acceptable in some diagnostic applications in existing commercial buildings and strata complexes.
